These plate negatives where found in a metal box in an old shed. They had been partially submerged and water damaged and were covered in some fine mud. A few were shattered or cracked. After carefully cleaning them look what we found!

These images are believed to have been taken in Tumbarrumba NSW c. 1901.

People’s faces were different to people today. Does this reflect their lifestyles, the food they ate and the physicality of lives then. People had to carry most of their food and water and they walked everywhere. The details is all there. If you look carefully you can see the titles of the books they had.

We’re still trying to find out more about the origin of these images. If you know anything please let us know.
